Under Her Wing celebrates the mentoring and creative work of women. Ten veteran women artists teaching in the Seattle Community Colleges have chosen a student to show alongside them.  Each of the women artists has a rich exhibition history and deep roots in the community, and is committed to democratizing art education and helping others develop their creative voice. In this exhibit, each mentor has asked a protégé to share in their creative and professional practice.  The creativity of Under Her Wing transcends economic, racial and generational lines to celebrate the creativity and stewardship of women.

Opening Reception: Tuesday, August 3, 11:30am –1:30 pm.

The SSCC Art Gallery is located next to the Bookstore in the Jerry Brockey Student Center.

Admission is always free.
