The club is grateful to several people at SSCC who have helped the club become an entity in March, 2004. Thank you to Marcia Kato, of Student Success Services, for the suggestion of starting a nursing club. I would like to thank Mary for organizing the framework for this club and recruiting members. I am indebted to Brenda Lee for jumpstarting the writing of the club's constitution and bylaws while I was immersed in Medical-Surgical nursing care plans. Brenda also shared her expertise in Excel program to sub-categorize reference books. Yodit Tekia, vice president, was an invaluable partner-in-crime as we labored over htm language for a solid week. The springpad launching of this website is credited to Chris Swensen, of the SSCC IT program and co-founder of the Tech club, who toiled away alongside us during Spring break and encouraged us when the going was rough. Robert Woody is responsible for all the club graphics, such as the club logo, brochure layout, club stationary design, information compilation and design of SSCC's nursing pin. His photoshop abilities, coupled with his tolerance for my attention to detail, facilitates collaboration. Billy Long, webmeister, was instrumental in getting the website live. Lastly, thanks to Monica Lundberg, student activities program manager, for being a super-duper go-to person and we are grateful the word "No" is not in her vocabulary. |
