WELCOME TO THE NURSING STUDENT CLUB WEBSITE!

The Nursing Student Advancement, Improvement & Development Society club, otherwise known as NSAIDS club, was formed in March, 2004 as a result of a need for a nursing student support group at South Seattle Community College.

The club offers supplemental educational opportunities in nursing by participating in campus events, organizing the pinning ceremony of LPN graduates in June and sponsoring nursing related speaking engagements and events. The pinning ceremony honors students for the completion of their course work. The club also compiles educational brochures on writing a nursing care plan, head-to-toe assessment, etc. as the needs develop.

All these co-curricular and extracurricular activities further lifetime learning. The community involvement and volunteer opportunities allow students to apply concepts learned in the classroom setting, to real life situations. Students interested in developing leadership skills, techniques and strategies that transfer to any work/social situation are encouraged to join. Your participation healthcare-related activities will be documented in a service transcript and may be used to satisfy volunteer hours, required by ADN/BSN programs. See Monica Lundberg in Student Life for details. Be creative and have some fun while you're studying hard. Good luck!
