What is Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) ?
PTK is the official Seattle Community College�s Honor Society. It recognizes academic success.
What are the benefits of being a PTK member?
1. Identifies you as a PTK elite scholar on your academic transcript.
2. Access to nation-wide scholarships.
3. Tuition discounts at some universities.
4. Provides you the option of gold stole and tassel at graduation.
5. Welcomes you to a community of students who meet regularly and
volunteer in our communities.

What are the qualifications to join PTK?
* Completed 12 college level credits.
* 3.5 cumulative (not quarterly) GPA or higher.
* Upon membership confirmation pay a $50 fee (scholarships are available).
* Participate in one community service project per quarter.
* You cannot become an official member during your last quarter at SSCC.

Are there officer positions?
Yes, we are always in need of volunteers for specific tasks.

What happens next?
After you submit your application, you will receive an email confirmation about your membership and club meeting details. About four weeks after that you will receive a packet of information, a certificate, and membership number to access the PTK website for other resources www.ptk.org.
Please use this form to document your community service participation. Submit to the PTK president at the end of each quarter.
