Complaint Process and Resources
Who can I talk to if I have a complaint or problem? Visit the campus Complaint Procedure web page for more information. The Dean of Student Life is South's official Complaints Officer. If you need to file a formal complaint, you must complete the complaint form and make an appointment to see Cessa Heard-Johnson, Dean of Diversity, Retention and Student Leadership by calling:

Posting Policy
Posters and fliers must be approved by the Public Information Office in RSB 159. We can post your announcements on campus bulletin boards after they have been approved. Drop off your fliers in JMB 135.
The Student Development Transcript
The Student Development Transcript is an official record of your service at involvement at South. It is similar to a resume, which lists activities you have participated in, such as student clubs, student government, conferences, sports, etc. You can use this document, which is separate from your academic transcript, to apply for scholarships, university admissions and employment. Click here for sample transcript. Download the Student Development Transcript form which you will need to complete to verify your attendance in a specific activity. Return it to Monica Lundberg in Student Life, JMB 126.

This meeting room, which has a large white board, VCR and sink, can accommodate up to 30 people. Please reserve in advance using Meeting Room Manager.

If you have an 8.5 x 11 flyer you want enlarged, come see us in Student Life. Bring your department budget number when you come!
Student Leadership Development Program
The Student Leaders Academy can help you develop your academic and leadership potential. It consists of free monthly workshops on a variety of topics, such as study strategies, public speaking, cultural awareness, scholarship information, stress management and more. It’s also a great opportunity to connect with more students as well as South staff and faculty.
Textbook Exchange Bulletin Board
Want to buy a used textbook or need to sell your old book? Check out this bulletin board, located at the north entrance of the JB Student Center. This self-service board, organized by the South Student Government, provides an opportunity for students to buy and sell books from other students at great savings.

Phi Theta Kappa
Phi Theta Kappa is the official honor society for two year colleges. As a South student organization, this group provides leadership and community service opportunities. Meetings are held regularly in JMB 128. To become a member, you must have a 3.5 cumulative gpa. The membership fee is $50. Scholarships are available.
To apply, download a copy of the Phi Theta Kappa Membership Application and submit it along with a copy of an unofficial transcript to Monica Lundberg in Student Life, JMB 126. Contact Monica Lundberg, PTK advisor, at: Monica.Lundberg@seattlecolleges.edu for more information.
Leadership Abroad Program
